Hello, Readers! 100 Foot Wave is a six-part documentary on surfing legend Garrett McNamara’s quest to ride, as well as the challenges and tribulations that come with such an improbable aim.

The docuseries, which spans four continents, is an inspiring story about a group of people on a quest for new heights, as well as a town and a sport that was permanently changed by one seemingly unattainable desire.

Topic Studios, Library Films, and Amplify Pictures are collaborating on the show. Chris Smith directed it, and Chris Smith, Joe Lewis, Maria Zuckerman, Ryan Heller, and Michael Bloom served as executive producers.

What is this about?

The six-part series follows surfing pioneer Garrett McNamara, who, after visiting Nazaré, Portugal in the hopes of conquering a 100-foot wave, pushed the sport to new heights and helped transform the small fishing village into the world’s preeminent big-wave surfing destination with the help of locals.
