100 Foot Wave Plot and Cast

The second season of 100 Foot Wave would continue to follow Garrett and Nicole McNamara and others seen is the first season as they get closer to making their dream a reality. It will also introduce new big wave surfers who join the communal pursuit to conquer a 100 foot wave in Nazare.

Talking about the documentary’s basic synopsis, it chronicles the career of Garrett McNamara as a big-wave furfer. It focuses on the time in Nazare where he hopes to find and conquer a 100-foot wave. He works along with Nazare locals to change the town into a surfing destination popular for its immense waves. It also features other big-wave surfers.

Over the course of the series, Justine Dupont and other big-wave surfers from all around the world dedicated to pursue their almost impossible dream of surfing the 100 foot wave. The first season was described as a poetic and philosophical adventure story by The Los Angeles Times.

Coming to the cast, the upcoming season would surely feature Garrett and his wife. We would also get to see CJ Macais, Andrew “Cotty” Cotton and Justine Dupont.

100 Foot Wave Season 2 Release Date

100 Foot Wave was renewed by HBO for another season back in August 2021. Since it is a documentary, it might not take much time for filming and it should release sometime in 2022.
