The series is about a bullied and harrassed girl Hannah Baker and her decision to suicide. She sends a box of cassettes to her high school friend Clay Jensen. Each cassette contains the story about a friend or enemy which led forced to her suicide. The show glued the audience to screen all over the world. The narrative was so mind-boggling that some fans even complained of insomnia after viewing the show. The show has received a lot of negative criticism due to the nature of the show.
