“30 Rocks” is back again for an hour-long special on NBCUniversal

There couldn’t better news for all the NBC fans. The most loved and most famous TV series “30 Rock” is back in the business. “30 Rock” is returning for a new, original remotely-produced event that will also double as an upfront special for the NBCUniversal properties. However, it would be just an hour-long episode, but it would be interesting to see the comedy and accuracy of the team, that used to be the best once.

About

“30 Rock” is an American, sketch comedy television series created by Tina Fey. It was originally started on NBC from October 11, 2006, to January 31, 2013. This series is all based on the experiences of the Tina Fey, as the head writer for the ‘Saturday Night Live’.

It all takes place behind the scenes of a fictional live comedy show which was airing on NBC. The series was produced by Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video in association with NBCUniversal.

Cast

Tina Fey is all back with her actual Cast members who brought immense success for her. She will continue her lead role and the other cast members include – Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer, Scott Adsit, Judah Friedlander, Katrina Bowden, Keith Powell, Lonny Ross, John Lutz, Kevin Brown, Grizz Chapman, and Maulik Pancholy.

“30 Rock” returns

“30 Rock” is all back just for an hour in a special episode of NBC universe. However, it would somewhat different from specially quarantined ‘Parks and Recreation’ that were placed together by NBC. The revival of the “30 Rock” would also double as a primetime upfront special to promote the upcoming shows of the NBCUniversal for the 2020-2021 TV season.

Premier date

“30 Rock” would be premiered on Thursday, July 16, at 8 pm on NBC. It would be presented as a commercial advertisement free block of programming. The NBC network describes the show’s return as “a first-of-its-kind all-audience upfront event”.  After the premiere on NBC, the 30 Rock special will also be aired again on Friday, July 17 at 9:00 P.M ET on the USA, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, and CNBC. It would also be available on the new streaming service of the NBCUniversal ie, Peacock.

This year’s upfronts might feel a little uneasy to digest. Since the future of television won’t include nearly as much new programming as previous years. Linda Yaccarino, chairman, advertising and partnerships, NBCUniversal, said:

Historically, this event is about the future of programming; this year. It’s about the future of our industry — a future where we can meet audiences wherever they are, with the stories that move them.”
