A Black Lady Sketch Show premiered with a season of six episodes on August 2, 2019. The first season received a 2020 TCA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sketch/Variety Shows and season two won three Black Reel Awards. Seasons one and two hold a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Considering that, The makers have renewed the show and now the fourth season is on its way to hitting the screen soon.

A black lady sketch show is a narrative series sketch comedy. A Black Lady Sketch Show turns its irreverent gaze on just what’s funny about being a black woman in America today. Unrealistic beauty standards? A wedding with a groom who can’t commit to “I do”? A CIA spy who’s practically invisible on her spy missions because her “regular looking face” renders her invisible to both women and men? Hot takes on “Romeo and Juliet” and 227? With a voice that’s both surreal and inventive, this sketch show goes to some very unusual places and finds plenty to laugh at.
The show’s fourth season will see the return of some fan-favorite cast members, including Robin Thede, Ashley Nicole Black, Gabrielle Dennis, and Quinta Brunson. They’ll be joined by new additions Nicole Byer, Yvonne Orji, and Heather McDonald.
A Black Lady Sketch Show Season 4 Release Date
There is no official release window yet, However, based on the pattern of the last two seasons’ release dates, we may anticipate that the premiere date for the fourth season will be in April of next year, 2023.
The fourth season might have six episodes like its first three seasons. Although, there has not been made an official announcement by the developers.
