The official synopsis of A League of Their Own highlights that the upcoming show maintains the joyous spirit of Penny Marshall’s cherished classic, while expanding the view of the plot to incorporate the tale of a generation of women who possessed the dream of playing held the potential to be a professional baseball player. A League of Their Own provides a deeper regard for sexuality and race. It follows the journey of an entirely novel ensemble of characters who pave their ways toward the field, both in and outside of the league.

A League of Their Own releases on August 12, 2022, Friday on Amazon Prime Video. The show will have eight episodes, all of which will be available at once for Prime Video users from the very day of its release.
