A League of Their Own: Release Date, Trailer and more!
Amazon Prime Video is bringing a new American upcoming period comedy-drama television series. It is an adaptation of the 1992 film of the same name with new characters and storylines, about the formation of a women’s professional baseball team during World War II.
The series is written and created by Will Graham and Abbi Jacobson. They are also the executive producers alongside Jamie Babbit, Hailey Wierengo, and Elizabeth Koe with their production companies Sony Pictures Television and Amazon prime video.

A League of Their Own Release Date
The release date of this show has not been announced yet, but we can expect it to release towards the mid of the 2022 or the first half of 2023.
The total number of episodes for the first season is yet to be revealed, even though they would run for one hour each. The man sitting in the director’s chair for all the episodes remains unknown.
A League of Their Own Plot and Cast
The show has been described as a fresh approach to Penny Marshall’s 1992 classic about the real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. It would bring new characters who embodies the spirit of a generation of women who dream to play professional baseball.
Amazon Prime Video revealed in an official statement,
“The show takes a deeper look at race and sexuality, following the journey of a whole new ensemble of characters as they carve their own paths towards the field, both in the league and outside of it.”
Coming to the cast, we would get to see Abbi Jacobson, Chante Adams, D’Arcy Carden, Roberta Colindrez, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Kelly McCormack, Priscilla Delgado and Nick Offerman in the lead roles. We would also get to see Melanie Field, Molly Ephraim, Lil Frex, Nat Faxon, Kevin Dunn, Marquise Vilson, Marinda Anderson, Don Fanelli, Nancy Lenehan and Saidah Ekulona in recurring roles.
