After the huge success of A Quiet Place that came out in 2018, John Krasinski, of The Office fame, is coming up with A Quiet Place 2,and fans of the actor and his wife, Emily Blunt, who also stars in the film, could not be more excited!
A Quiet Place received huge commercial and critical success when it came out in 2018 and was also nominated for several awards. Although the ending of the first film was a bit disheartening, it left fans wanting more, and so the sequel plans to do exactly that, tying up all loose ends. Cast of A Quiet Place 2
Emily Blunt reprises her role in the sequel as Evelyn Abbott. Although John Krasinski’s character Lee Abbott died at the end of the first film, he still makes appearances in the sequel in the newly filmed flashback scenes that show how the events in the first film had started and brought the story where it was. Millicent Simmonds also returns to her role as Regan Abbott, the deaf daughter of Evelyn and Lee. Noah Jupe too reprises his role as Marcus Abbott, Evelyn, and Lee’s son. Cillian Murphy, from Peaky Blinders, joins the cast in the sequel playing the role of Emmett.
Release date and more updates
A Quiet Place 2 had its world premiere at the Lincoln Center in New York City. Paramount Pictures originally planned to release the film on March 20, 2020. However, the release was postponed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. The release was postponed to September 4, 2020, but since the situation did not get any better with theatres across the USA and the world still closed, there was a second postponement of the release date. A Quiet Place 2 is now slated to release on April 23, 2021.
