The show was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, with Brunson, James, Ralph, and Williams all receiving nominations for their performances. In January 2023, the series was renewed for a third season, which is set to premiere soon.

Abbott Elementary Season Plot and Cast

The basic premise of the show follows the lives of a bunch of administrators and educators who work in a public elementary school in West Philadelphia using the mockumentary approach made popular by NBC’s The Office. There haven’t been many details released about the storylines coming up in season 3. However, we can expect the third season to pick up the story from where the second season will leave.

Abbott Elementary Season 3 Release Date

On July 21, 2022, ABC ordered the second season of 22 episodes, giving it a full-season order. The series Abbott Elementary Season 2 premiere on September 21, 2022 and later the show got renewed for a new season.
