Hello, Readers! Accused: Guilty or Innocent? Season 2 will be coming this August. A&E Television Networks produces this American documentary television show. On April 21, 2020, the show premiered on A&E. There has only been one season thus far. Based on 76 user votes, the series presently has an IMDb rating of 8.3 out of 10.

Imagine being charged with a crime and facing the prospect of years in prison. The show premieres on A&E Network and chronicles the dramatic inside tales – as they develop – of people awaiting trial for terrible crimes they are accused of having committed.

Season 1 was well welcomed by lovers of the genre, with the show being driven from the perspective of the defendant. It was well-received by critics because it featured compelling cases that demonstrated how hasty decisions may uproot people’s lives.

Brinkworth Productions is behind the docuseries. Executive Producers are Malcolm Brinkworth and Xander Brinkworth. A&E’s Executive Producers are Elaine Frontain Bryant, Shelly Tatro, and Brad Holcman.

Accused: Guilty or Innocent? Season 2: Release Date

Season two will premiere on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 10 pm ET/PT.

What is this about?

From the perspective of the accused, their legal team, and their family members, this is an intimate depiction of what happens when someone is legally charged with a crime and put to trial.

Each episode follows the accused person as they arrange their legal defense, go through the trial, and finally reach a decision. These poignant stories provide a first-hand glimpse at what it’s like when your freedom is on the line as the evidence accumulates and the trial approaches.

Who’s in it?

Since it is a documentary series, all the cast members appear as their real selves. The show features the defendants, plaintiffs, attorneys, judges, jury members, media personnel, detectives, experts, witnesses, local sheriffs, legal authorities, family members of the defendants and the claimants, etc. It also utilizes archival footage of the victims.

The cast of the first season comprises Garth Best, Cameron Boyd, Angel Bumpass, Bryan Lawson, Jason McCombs, Danita Tutt, Larry Boyd, Shirley Bumpass, Brandon Joyner, Wanda Joyner, Lewis Joyner, Carlisle McNair, Mark Thetford, and many others. If the show gets renewed, it can feature an entirely different cast.
