About After Life
After Life is a black comedy-drama web series created, directed, and produced by Rick Gervais. The series was made for Netflix.
The series revolves around the life of Tony Johnson played by Rick Gervais. Tony is depressed and has suicidal thoughts after the death of his wife. His friends and neighbors support him in difficult times. But Tony has different plans of his own. He believes he has a superpower now that enables him to punish people by doing things in the way he wants to do.
The first season premiered on Netflix on March 8, 2019, followed by the second season which released on 24 April 2020.

Rick Gervais fears to let down viewers with the new installment of After Life. He is definitely nervous about writing a script that fans may not like that much. But he has been positively supported by his fans who want him to write the third part of the series.
While interacting with fans on a Twitter live stream he shared his opinions about the third season. Although he did not tell much about the script he dropped one spoiler for the third season. He stated about Tony’s dog that “The dog does not die. Never.” Well this spoiler is not so bad after all.
He also stated that appreciation from fans encourages him to write more. He also shared that he is optimistic regarding the third season of After Life given the overwhelming response it has received.
