Based on Na porta ao lado by Luly Trigo, All the Same… or Not is a comedy-drama series made for Disney+. The show is written by Andre Rodrigues and Luly Trigo and directed by Juliana Vonlanten.

The first season of the series premiered on May 25, 2022 and received generally decent response from critics and audiences. It has been rated 6.5/10 on IMDb and considering that, the makers have already renewed the series for another season, scheduled to premiere soon.

All the Same… or Not Plot and Cast

The makers of All the Same… or Not have not revealed anything about what would happen in Season 2. However, it is expected to continue from where Season 1 ended.

The basic premise follows a 16-year-old Carol, who is going through a period of major changes in her life. On the one hand, Carol has to deal with her mother’s marriage to her new boyfriend and the impending relationship with her future stepbrother. On the other hand, a new school year begins in high school, in which Carol starts her first real relationship and experiences various situations with her long-time friends that also put their friendship to the test.

Carol faces the typical challenges of being a teenager and experiences feelings that she has never felt in this form before and learns that the first step to happiness is to know yourself and also to respect your own feelings, even if you are makes one or two mistakes on the way there.

Coming to the cast, we should get to see Gabriella Saraivah, Ana Jeckel, Duda Matte, Clara Buarque, Guilhermina Libanio, Guthierry Sotero, Ronald Sotto, Daniel Botelho, Kiko Pissolato and Mia Mello in the lead roles.

The first season of the show premiered in May 2022 and it was later renewed for another season. Considering that, Season 2 should premiere sometime in 2023.

The upcoming season is expected to have ten episodes like Season 1, although it is not confirmed yet. The series is produced by Cinefilm and distributed by Disney Platform Distribution.
