Alt-rockers Snowtown Share a Dark, Personal Experience on their Upcoming Single “Happy Birthday”

We have this perception that music brings out human emotions. Even it pulls out those you never know you had them in the first place. Most of the songwriters and music composers have the same thought in their minds while crafting any piece. The songs which we are enjoying right now maybe someone’s deepest feelings for something.

Snowtown had the same idea while composing their single, “Happy Birthday.” It is a gentle, melancholy song about the importance of those birthdays in the existence of bandmate Jesse Garcia.

Jesse used to have a lot of strange feelings when he was young, one of them was that he wanted to commit suicide. He wanted to do so after the party had ended and everyone had gone home on his 15th birthday. One mate, on the other hand, did not go home and remained with him for the majority of the night, oblivious to Jesse’s turbulent inner struggle.

He credits his friend Loü for saving his life that day. As a result, the song “Happy Birthday” was born. Jesse says, “By the time my next birthday rolled around, I had sworn off ever attempting suicide because I knew the harm it would do my friends and family.” But it would have been much worse if it hadn’t been for my friend.”
