AMC to premier scandal drama – Quiz. A miniseries which is based on a sensational and true quest of English couple scamming one million pounds on national television. The story of stirring scandal pulled off by a couple on the show called “Who wants to be a millionaire?”. Co-Produced by ITV and AMC – Quiz is to be delivered in three parts. The show is directed by Stephen Frears (director of A Very English Scandal, Florence Foster Jenkins, Philomena, The Queen).
The Plot
Some 20 years back, Charles and Diana Ingram were tried for conspiring by coughing during the recording to prompt the correct answer with the help of an accomplice in the audience-Tecwen Whittock which is played by Michael Jibson. The show revolves around how these three cheated their way into winning a jackpot of one million pounds which was one of the most popular game show of that era. Despite the fact that the exact story can be found out on many portals because its literally happened, the magic will unveil in the way story is told. A lot of expectations from this drama and the fact that this is going to be a limited series drama. This has a called for speculations of increased viewership as it demands low commitment.
