American Crime Story is a true-crime anthology television series on cable network FX. The first season of American Crime Story, subtitled The People v. O.J. Simpson, was based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book, The Run of His Life: The People v. O. J. Simpson. It was developed by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, and premiered on February 2, 2016. The second season of American Crime Story, subtitled The Assassination of Gianni Versace, was based on Maureen Orth’s book, Vulgar Favors: Andrew Cunanan, Gianni Versace, and the Largest Failed Manhunt in U.S. History. The second season was developed by Tom Rob Smith, and premiered on January 17, 2018.

Season 3 of American Crime Story was announced to be in development on August 6, 2019. It is subtitled Impeachment, and is based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book, A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President. Anthony Green as Al Gore
Billy Eichner as conservative blogger Matt Drudge, who first reported the existence of a Newsweek story about Clinton and Lewinsky’s affair
Betty Giplin as conservative media pundit Ann Coulter

Additionally, Hillary Clinton will also appear in the series, but won’t have a significant role to play.

American Crime Story Season 3 – More Updates

The third season was first scheduled to premiere on September 27, 2020. However, filming on the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Filming then resumed in October 2020, almost six months after its initial scheduled dates. No official release date has yet been anounced for the premiere of season 3 of American Crime Story. We can expect it to release some time in 2021.
