Created by Seth McFarlane, Mike Barker, and Matt Weitzman, American Dad is an adult animated sitcom and a spinoff of Family Guy. It is a joint production between Underdog Productions, Fuzzy Door Productions, and 20th Television Animation.
The first season premiered back in 2005 on Fox and it is being broadcasted on TBS since 2014. It has been nominated for several awards including four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Annie Awards. The show also received positive reviews from critics and is scheduled to come back soon with its 20th season.

American Dad Plot and Cast
The makers have not yet revealed anything about the plot of American Dad Season 20. The basic premise of the show follows an upper-middle-class Smith family in the community of Langley Falls, Virginia, and their four housemates.
The housemates include father, husband, CIA agent, Republican, and breadwinner Stan; his wife and homemaker or housewife, Francine; their leftist, hippie, college-aged daughter, Hayley; and their dorky high-school-aged son Steve.
Three extra characters include Hayley’s boyfriend and later husband Jeff Fischer; the family’s unusual goldfish Klaus and Roger, the alien. Stan’s boss Avery Bullock, the Deputy Director of the CIA appears as a recurring character.
Coming to the cast, we would get to see Seth McFarlane, Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes, Rachael McFarlane, Dee Bradley Baker, Jeff Fischer, and Patrick Stewart returning to provide the voice for their respective characters.
American Dad Season 20 Release Date
The makers of the show have not yet announced a release date for Season 20. Since the 19th season premiered on January 24, 2022, we can expect the 20th season to premiere sometime in 2023.
The upcoming season would possibly have 22 episodes like the last few seasons and the rest of the details shall be revealed once the new season premieres.
