American Housewife is a family comedy sitcom television series on ABC. The series first premiered on ABC in October, 2016. There have been four seasons of American Housewife on ABC so far.

American Housewife revolves around the character of Katie Otto, an unapologetic wife and a mother of three. The series chronicles her daily life as she tries to raise three kids in the wealthy town of Westport, Connecticut, filled with “perfect” mommies and their “perfect” offspring. Compared to the other residents who own big houses, Katie and her family are renters of a more modest home. Despite all her flaws and unconventional ways, Katie ultimately only wants the best for her kids and will fight tooth-and-nail to instill some good old-fashioned values in them, if it’s the last thing she does.

American Housewife was renewed for a fifth season in May, 2020.
