Developed by Michael Patrick King, And Just Like That… is an American comedy-drama streaming television series. It is a revival and a sequel of the HBO television series Sex and the City by Darren Star, which is based on Candace Bushnell’s newspaper column and 1996 book anthology of the same name.

The series premiered on HBO Max on December 9, 2021, with mixed reviews. Originally billed as a miniseries, the series was renewed for a second season in March 2022.

The series will follow Carrie’s new romance with podcast producer Franklyn should it return, while also exploring her new career hosting podcast Sex and the City. Meanwhile, the consequences of Miranda – now back with her red hair – choosing her romance with Che over her career will also likely be felt. We can’t see Miranda staying in Los Angeles forever!

Elsewhere, we will most likely see Charlotte continue to deal with her growing children, particularly with Rock exploring their gender identity. Finally, the future of Nya’s marriage and Seema’s new romance will also need to be followed up.

HBO Max has yet to announce a release date for And Just Like That… Season 2, but if production begins this year then we could see the show returning at the earliest of 2023.

The upcoming season might have ten episodes like Season 1. The makers are expected to announce further changes and additions in the next few months.
