Ant-Man: Plot and Cast
The first Ant-Man movie was released on June 29, 2015 to a wide critical success. It features Scott Lang, a thief who is unable to get a job because of his criminal record. He is a good natured guy, but tends to get into tight spots. He joins his friend and cell mate Luis in another burglary operation at scientist Hank Pym’s house. But all he finds is an old motorcycle suit, which he brings back with him.
What Scott doesn’t know is that Dr. Henry “Hank” Pym is a famous scientist who retired from S.H.I.E.L.D. and took his shrinking Ant-Man suit with him as he did so. This is the suit that Scott stole and finds out its powers when he puts it on and shrinks to the size of an ant.
Turns out, it was Pym’s plan all along for Scott to have the suit and had manipulated Luis into breaking into his house. Scott is trained to be the new Ant-Man and steal the Yellowjacket from Darren Cross. Hope Van Dyne, Hank Pym’s daughter, becomes the new Wasp after she finds out her mother was the original one. This makes up the plot of the second film, The Ant-Man and The Wasp!
Ant-Man 3: Release Date
While no conclusive release date has yet been set for Ant-Man 3, it is to come out in 2022. Paul Rudd will return for his role as Scott Lang or the Ant-Man; Evangeline Lilly will return as Hope Van Dyne or the Wasp; and Michael Douglas will return as Hank Pym.
