Apple TV’s movie Boys State : Release Date, Trailer and Trivia!

Apple TV+ distributed the movie Boys State, which premiered in the second week of August 2020. The movie is a documentary series. It follows the lives of a thousand boys. These boys attend girls/boys school. The film is based in Texas, America. Since it is a real-life based documentary series it covers true facts and statistics. The movie gives the ground reality of the situation in Texas. It gives the viewer an insight into how these young boys wish to participate in the law-making process.

The movie is centred around the theme of representation. It throws light on the participation of young men/boys in the parliament. The movie has taken into consideration boys from the different diaspora. Boys of all age, race, ethnicity and backgrounds have been a part of this movie. It has thrown light on the struggles of organising political campaign. How they navigate through social and political changes. What methodology do they adopt to form a strong and capable government? Alongside this the disparity among the genders. How they wish to wage this gap and of course bring about discourse and discussion. The process of forming a party which is for the people, by people of the people.

The movie made its debut on our screens on the 14th of August. It was aired on Apple TV+ at 3:00 am. The movie has been the recipient of 95% rating from rotten tomatoes and 8.29/10 from IMDb. The movie was released during the Sundance Film Festival in January of 2020. After which Apple TV + bought the rights to distribute it.
