The Blacklist is an American thriller drama that debuted on NBC on 23 September 2013, created by Jon Bokenkamp. The series was a huge hit with its first season, and it’s now streaming globally on Netflix. The Blacklist follows the story of Raymond Red Reddington, a former US Navy Officer turned high profile criminal, who surrenders himself to the FBI after eluding captures for decades and offers them to help in capturing deadly criminals, but with one condition that he will only work with the new recruit agent, Elizabeth Keen.

Release Date
Currently, The Blacklist is broadcasting its seventh season on NBC. The seventh season was released on 4 October 2019, and the final episode of the season will premiere on 15 May 2020. With the end of this season, the fans are curious to know if there will be a season eight.
NBC confirmed in February 2020 that The Blacklist has been renewed for its eighth season, all because of the fans’ love for the show. According to the sources, it will be the final season of The Blacklist. With the seventh season concluding in May 2020, the filming for the eighth season will begin as soon as the world gets better from the pandemic outbreak of Covid-19.
Cast
The major cast of the show will reprise their roles. James Spader as Raymond Red Reddington, Megan Boone as Elizabeth Keen, Diego Klattenholf as Donald Ressler, Harry Lennix as Harold Cooper, and Hisham Tawifq as Dembae Zuma. Besides the major cast, we might see some new characters in the upcoming season.

Plot
The plot for the next season is totally dependent on the last episode of the seventh season which is yet not released. It’s anticipated that the finale episode of season seven will bring in some big plot twist, and from that on the next season will pick up.
