Netflix original Ares made its debut on our tv screen in January 2020. The show is a dutch show and is based in the Netherlands. The theme of the show is Horror Drama. It became a massive hit among the viewers of the young adult age group. Since the show is a supernatural and dram show it was able to keep its audience engaged and engrossed.

The plot of the show:

It follows the story of a young medical student. She ends up joining a secrete society. This society has been existing since the Dutch Golden Age. This society was for the people who believed and practice dark and supernatural practices. Those who believed in supernatural entities could interact with them and could sense them. These people were a part of this society. However, things get darker and mysterious. As the protagonist adjusts to the working of this society. She soon realises that this society was demanding too much of her. The show tests her resilience.

Release Date and Trailer of the show:

The show’s first season aired on 17th January 2020. The show has a total of eight episodes. Each episode has a run time of 40-50 minutes. The show has done decently for itself. The episodes were released altogether. However, there has been no official confirmation about the show’s renewal for season two. Netflix is yet to announce the renewal of the show. Even if the show gets renewed for season two. It will not be released before 2021.

The cast of the show comprises of Dutch actors. Jade Olieberg, Tobias Kersloot, Lisa Smit, Robin Boissevain and Frieda Barnhard. Along with them Hans Kesting, Rifka Lodeizen, Roos Dickmann and many more actors have made this show a success. The creators of the show are Pieter Kuijpers and Iris Otten.
