on

Atlanta is a comedy drama television series on FX, created by Donald Glover. The first season of Atlanta premiered on September 6, 2016. The second season premiered on March 1, 2018. Season 2 of Atlanta was subtitled Robbin, because of the increased rate of criminal activity in Georgia before the Christmas season, where the series is set. Donald Glover, besides developing the series, also serves as co-executive producer, alongside Paul Simms, Dianne McGunigle, Stephen Glover, and Hiro Murai. Atlanta was renewed for a third season in June 2018.

The plot of the series is this-

“The series follows Earn during his daily life in Atlanta, Georgia, as he tries to redeem himself in the eyes of his ex-girlfriend, who is the mother of his daughter, as well as his parents and his cousin Alfred, who raps under the stage name “Paper Boi”. Having dropped out of Princeton University, Earn has no money and no home and consequently alternates between staying with his parents and his girlfriend. Once he realizes that his cousin is on the verge of stardom, he desperately seeks to reconnect to improve his life and the life of his daughter, Lottie.”

The main cast are all expected to be back for the third season of Atlanta.

Release Date of Atlanta Season 3

Ardent fans of the highly-acclaimed television series have been waiting for the third season of Atlanta ever since its announcement in June 2018. The series was then also renewed for a fourth season. Season 3 of Atlanta was first expected to premiere in January 2021, but was however delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. FX network’s president, John Landgraf has confirmed that the series will now begin production in the first-half of 2021, and that the third and fourth seasons of Altanta will be filmed back-to-back. The potential release date of season 3 of Atlanta can be expected to be in the second-half of 2021.
