Moving further, he bagged different awards including the Boston Society of Film Critics Award (2004), Detroit Film Critics Society, Detroit Film Critics Society, Georgia Film Critics Circle Award, and more. Apart from that, he was nominated for different awards on many occasions as well.

The Fly

Seth Brundle portrayed by Jeff Goldblum is the role of the genius who has an eccentric attitude. He meets a science journalist named Veronica at an event held by the company that was funding his research. He takes her to his lab located in a warehouse to document his invention that can teleport objects from one place to the other. The only problem was that the telepods created by him were not able to teleport living tissues as of yet.

Gradually they got into a relationship. Seth noticed that the machine is becoming capable of creating a synthetic version of biological material rather than the object itself. Soon he manages to perfect the telepod but a lot was going on in Veronica’s life. Seth gets drunk and enters the telepod to teleport himself without realizing that a housefly has entered the transmitter pod too and he manages to emerge from the receiving end of the pod normally.

He feels a craving for sugar, increased strength, stamina, and sexual potency that worries Veronica later on. Soon he starts acting strangely and has bristly hair growing from his back and starts having a sore face. He also becomes aggressive when Veronica expresses her concerns. He finds himself becoming an actual humanoid fly and asks Veronica to point a shotgun at his head and end his suffering.

IMDb Rating: 7.6

Jurrasic Park

This is one of the epic movies about dinosaurs created by Steven Spielberg with an amazing cast and storyline back in the early 90s. The character design was mainly the work of Stan Winston Studios, which creates characters for movies like The Terminator Franchise, Aliens, and others. Jeff Goldblum portrays the character of Ian Malcolm, a mathematician who specializes in the Chaos Theory. Ian believed that recreating dinosaurs and adding them as an attraction in a theme park will bring chaos and destruction to mankind.

His quote that said “God creates dinosaurs, God destroys dinosaurs. God creates Man, man destroys God. Man creates dinosaurs.” was the very evidence of his views about the Park. Jeff appeared in the movie sequels including Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Jurassic World, Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom, and Jurrasic World: Dominion.

IMDb Rating: 8.2

Thor: Ragnarok

The movie starts with Thor hanging in chains in Surtur’s Lair. He slays Surtur by knocking him out and taking off his helmet. He then calls on Heimdall to call him back home. He was long gone after Loki takes over the throne of Asgard disguised as Odin. His place is taken by Skurge who later on becomes Hela’s Executioner.

Jeff Goldblum portrays the character of Grandmaster, the ruler of the Planet Sakaar, and the brother of The Collector who appeared in The Guardians of The Galaxy. He is fond of hosting contests called the Contest of Champions where different creatures compete in a battle of survival against the champion who turns out to be the Hulk.

The Grandmaster is one of the 11 Elders of the universe who originated right after the Big Bang. He is billions of years old and is a master strategist. You can find him in Thor: Ragnarok as someone who is fond of games and contests and has Loki, Bruce Banner, Thor, and Beta Ray Bill as some of the visitors to his planet.

IMDb Rating: 7.9
