Better Call Saul Season 5 Wraps Up: Will there be a season 6?

The fifth installment of Better Call Saul took off on 23rd February and concluded on 20th April 2020 on AMC Television Network in the US. Except for the premiere episode which was broadcasted on a Sunday, all the episodes aired on Mondays.

The top cast of the show for this season consists of Bob Odenkirk (Jimmy McGill / Saul Goodman), Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando, Giancarlo Esposito, and Tony Dalton. This comedy series is designed as a prequel to the much-acclaimed show Breaking Bad.

In this 5th season, Jimmy McGill moves forward with his decision to officially practicing law under the alias of Saul Goodman. This move brings forth much stirring Better Call Saul/ Breaking Bad universe. It brings about a significant change in all clusters and circles of Albuquerque, both legal and illegal. The audience rating of this tragic dark comedy stands at 99% at Rotten Tomatoes.

The US TV network AMC officially announced the 6th season in January 2020, almost a month before the 5th season began to air. Moreover, it was also mentioned that season 6 will be the last one. Although fans had already started anticipating that 6th one would be the last one as the plot in the 5th season had already begun to converge towards the meeting of Walter White and Jimmy McGill.

Although no official release date for Better Call Saul season 6 is out yet, its production was expected to begin this year. Except for the two year gap between 4th and 5th season, the first four seasons had rolled out annually. So the 6th was expected to come out anytime in 2021 or early 2022. Since the coronavirus pandemic has brought everything to a standstill, a bigger delay is expected in its release.
