Developed by Mitch Watson, Big Nate is an American computer-animated streaming television series. The series is based on the comic strip and book series of the same name by Lincoln Peirce.

The series was ultimately announced by Nickelodeon on February 19, 2020, and was originally planned to premiere in September 2021. In December 2021, it was announced that it would premiere on Paramount+ in early 2022, later specified as February 17, and on March 2022, the series was renewed for a second season.

The developers have not announced a release date for Big Nate Season 2. Since it was renewed for a second season on March 24, 2022, the new season might premiere by the end of 2023.

The second season is expected to have eight episodes like Season 1. The rest of the details related to Season 2 are yet to be confirmed and revealed by the creators.

Adapted from the best-selling children’s books and comic strip, and following Nate and his best friends as they navigate sixth grade with humor and style, the debut of the Paramount+ original series last month marks the service’s biggest original kids’ animation launch to date.

In season two, the hilarious and heart-filled hijinks that define the series will dive deeper into the backstories of Nate’s friends, we will get to see Nate’s grandparents and more. Further details are expected to be announced soon.

Coming to the cast of the second season, we should get to see Nate Wright, Ellen Wright, Martin Wright, Teddy Ortiz, Chad Applewhite, Principal Nichols, Mrs. Godfrey, Francis Pope, and Dee Dee Holloway in the lead roles. Since it is a new season, we should get to see some new faces.
