Big Shot Season 2: Release Date, Trailer and more!

Created by David E. Kelley, Dean Lorey and Brad Garrett, Big Shot is a sports-comedy drama series, made for Disney+. Kelly, Lorey and Garrett are also the executive producers alongside Bill D’Elia.

The first season of the series premiered on April 16, 2021 and received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It currently holds an approval rating of 78% on Rotten Tomatoes and has been scored 65 out of 100 on Metacritic. Considering the positive feedback, the makers renewed the series for a second season in September 2021.

Big Shot Plot and Cast

In Big Shot Season 2, Marvyn Korn returns to Westbrook with a new fire, ready to show that his girls basketball team belong in D-2 and he is still the championship-winning, powerhouse coach he was in NCAA. Marvyn’s latest plan toward relevance is to get his team broadcast on ESPN, and his method is to recruit an unlikely player – Ava, a gutsy beach volleyball phenom whose public tantrum got her ousted from her own sport.

Between losing their assistant coach Holly Barrett to a rival school, new friction among teammates, a sudden and unexpected proximity to boys, and off-the-court disasters that no one could have predicted, the new season will see Westbrook Sirens trying to prove themselves.

Coming to the cast, we can expect to see the leads of Season 1 coming back to reprise their roles. This includes John Stamos, Jessalyn Gilsig, Richard Robichaux, Sophia Mitri Schloss, Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Monique Green, Tisha Eve Custodio, Cricket Wampler and Yvette Nicole Brown.

Big Shot Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Big Shot premiered in April 2021 and it was renewed for a second season after four months. For now, we can expect the second season to release sometime in 2022.

The new season might consist of ten episodes like the first season, although an official confirmation is awaited. The series is produced by Tommy Burns, Jacquie Walters and P. Todd Coe, and it is distributed by Disney Plaform Distribution.
