Big Sky is an upcoming police procedural drama television series on ABC. David E. Kelley, of Big Little Lies fame, has created the series which is based on the 2013 novel called The Highway, by author C.J. Box. The series was announced in January 2020, when ABC gave it a straight-to-series order. David E. Kelley, Ross Fineman, Matthew Gross, Paul McGuigan, C.J. Box and Gwyneth Horder-Payton serve as executive producers on Big Sky, and the series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with A+E Studios.

The official website of Big Sky describes the premise of the show as-
“Private detectives Cassie Dewell and Cody Hoyt join forces with his estranged wife and ex-cop, Jenny Hoyt, to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. But when they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, they must race against the clock to stop the killer before another woman is taken.”

The series began production on its 10-episode order in late August, with the first two episodes shot as a block.

Big Sky stars Kylie Bunbury as Cassie Dewell, Ryan Phillippe as Cody Hoyt, Katheryn Winnick as Jenny Hoyt, John Carroll Lynch as Rick Legarski, Dedee Pfeiffer as Denise Brisbane, Brian Geraghty as Ronald Pergman, Natalie Alyn Lind as Danielle Sullivan, Jesse James Keitel as Jerrie, Jade Pettyjohn as Grace Sullivan, Valerie Mahaffey as Helen Pergman, Brooke Smith as Merrilee Legarski, Jeffery Joseph as Joseph Dewell, and Gage Marsh as Justin Hoyt. The last three cast members will be recurring characters on the show, and joined the cast recently, on October 8, 2020.

New Trailer and Premiere Date of Big Sky Season 1
