Created by David E. Kelley, Big Sky is an American crime drama thriller series based on The Highway series of books by C. J. Box. Kelley is also the executive producer alongside C. J. Box, Gwyneth Horder-Payton, Paul McGuigan, Matthew Gross, Ross Fineman, and Elwood Reid.
The first season premiered on ABC as a fall entry in the 2020–21 television season on November 17, 2020, followed by the second season on September 30, 2021. The show has received positive reviews from critics and it has been already renewed for a third season.

Big Sky Plot and Cast
Right now, there are only far and few details about what Big Sky season 3 will be about. But according to a May press release from ABC, here’s what fans can expect to see Reba McEntire and Jensen Ackles step into the world of Big Sky on its new night, bringing with them a new mystery to unravel as the mercurial matriarch of an established local family and the new sheriff in town, respectively.
Talking about the cast, here’s who we predict the Big Sky season 3 includes Katheryn Winnick as Jenny Hoyt, Kylie Bunbury as Cassie Dewell, Logan Marshall-Green as Travis Stone, Dedee Pfeiffer as Denise Brisbane, and Omar Metwally as Mark Lindor.
We can also get to see Janina Gavankar as Ren Bhullar, J. Anthony Pena as Deputy Poppernak, Anja Savcic as Scarlet Leyendecker, and Jamie-Lynn Sigler as Tonya, and many more.
Big Sky Season 3 Release Date
Big Sky season 3 will premiere on September 21, 2022, and it will be available on ABC in the US, and on the streaming service Disney Plus in the UK. They’ve been moving quickly on this one, with the show only being confirmed for renewal in May 2022. This fits the timeline of season 2 though, which also aired in September after being announced in May 2021.
