Bill and Ted Face the Music is the third film in the famous Bill and Ted movie franchise. The fans had been long demanding another sequel to this hysterical science fiction/comedy saga. Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey, the second film in the franchise, came out way back in 1991. And now, after 29 years, Bill and Ted Face the Music is finally coming to our theatres and screens.

Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter return to their titular roles of Theodore “Ted” Logan and William “Bill” S. Preston, Esq. Bridgette Lundy-Painejoins the cast as Tedand Elizabeth’s daughter, Wilhelmina “Billie” Logan. Samara Weaving has been cast in the role of Bill and Joanna’s daughter, Theodora “Thea” Preston. Kristen Schaal plays the role of Kelly, a messenger from the future who brings a warning for Bill and Ted. Kelly’s character is named after Kelly Carlin, Georgle Carlin’s daughter, as a way of tribute to the late comedian. George Carlin, who played the role of Rufus in the first two films, will also appear in the third film through the use of archival footage from the first two films. Carlin passed away in 2008.
Jayma Mays plays the role of Bill’s wife, Princess Joanna Preston. Erinn Hayes plays the role of Ted’s wife, Princess Elizabeth Logan. William Sadler has been cast in the role of The Grim Reaper. Holland Taylor plays the role of The Great Leader, the most powerful being in the universe.
Release Date of Bill and Ted 3
Bill and Ted Face the Music was originally scheduled to release on August 21, 2020. It was later moved up a week to be released on August 14, 2020, to fill in the spots vacated by other films due to their postponement. The release was then pushed two weeks further to August 28, 2020, in order to avoid clashing with Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. However, as the COVID-19 pandemic still hasn’t subsided yet, it was announced that Bill and Ted 3 will release in a combined theatrical and video-on-demand premiere on September 1, 2020.
