Blindspotting Season 2: Release Date, Cast and more!

Created by Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs, Blindspotting is a comedy-drama series, made for Starz. Casal and Diggs are also the executive producers alongside Jess Wu Calder, Keith Calder, Ken Lee, Tim Palen, Emily Gerson Saines, and Seith Mann.

The first season of the series premiered on June 13, 2021, and received generally positive reviews from critics. It currently holds an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and considering the positive response, the makers have already renewed the series for a second season.

Blindspotting Plot and Cast

The makers have not revealed anything about the plot of Blindspotting Season 2. However, it will definitely continue from where the first season ended.

The series is generally a spin-off sequel to the film of the same name, released in 2018. The basic premise is set six months after the events in the film of the same name, Miles, Ashley’s partner of 12 years and father of their son, is suddenly incarcerated, and the situation leaves her to navigate a chaotic and humorous existential crisis when she and her son Sean are forced to move in with Miles’ mother and half-sister.

Coming to the cast, we should get to see Jasmine Cephas Jones, Jaylen Barron, Candace Nicholas-Lippman, Benjamin Earl Turner, and Atticus Woodward in the lead roles. Since it is a new season, we can definitely expect to see new additions to the lead and supporting cast.

Blindspotting Season 2 Release Date

The show was then renewed in October 2021 for the second season, but till now, there has been no official statement for its release date. But you need not worry because there are high chances of hearing some good news shortly, and it may be released later this year or in the winter of 2022.

The upcoming season might consist of eight episodes like Season 1 and the rest of the details shall be revealed soon. The series is produced by Dreams with Friends Inc., Snoot Entertainment, and Lionsgate Television.
