Hello, Readers! If you’ve heard your folks in other countries raving about Bloods, a British medical comedy series, brace yourself because you’re about to find out why. Hulu has bought the series, Bloods Season 1 will premiere in early December for subscribers.
Bloods premiered on Sky, and now Hulu has picked up the series for a multi-season deal, making it the series’ only home outside of the United States for the time being. It depicts the escapades of streetwise paramedic Maleek when he teams up with chirpy new colleague Wendy, which was co-created by star Samson Kayo.
On paper, they don’t appear to be a good fit, but the two quickly become a force to be reckoned with — and maybe they’ll even learn a thing or two from one other.
Bloods Season 1: Release Date
In the UK, the series premiered on Sky in May 2021, and all six episodes are available on Sky Box Sets and NOW. From Thursday, December 9th, 2021, season 1 will be available on Hulu in the United States, allowing American audiences to join in on the fun.

What is this about?
Maleek and his sidekick Kevin are on a call-out on a rainy night when the story begins. Kevin becomes debilitated as a result of Maleek’s overzealous use of the defibrillator, necessitating time off and the request of a new partner.
Despite Maleek’s assurances to Jo that he can complete the task alone, she persists in assigning him a new companion. Wendy, a newcomer to London, is ecstatic to be working with Maleek. Maleek, on the other hand, has reservations about her.
Nonetheless, he chooses to tutor Wendy in what it takes to be a paramedic in the capital — but Wendy turns out to be a lot smarter than Maleek initially thought, and it appears that she may have a few things to teach him as well.
Season 2 will be Released Soon
Sky has just revealed that Season 2 of Bloods is in the works, with Samson Kayo and Jane Horrocks reprising their roles. In two viewing drops in 2022, the 10-episode season will air on Sky Comedy and streaming service now. We believe it will be available on Hulu in the United States shortly after that.
Samson Kayo says: “I’m so excited the Bloods team are back together again for this new bigger and bolder series. With ten episodes, there is going to be loads more laughs, friendship and fun for fans to enjoy. Maleek is reunited with his miss-matched paramedic partner Wendy and he can’t wait to hit the roads again in their ambulance!
Jane Horrocks adds: “I am very much looking forward to getting back to Bloods for series 2. The scripts are already banging and Wendy is getting more naughty!”

BAFTA nominees Samson Kayo and Jane Horrocks act as the two primary paramedics, whose personalities conflict at first but eventually come together to become a brilliant team. Lucy Punch, Julian Barratt, Adrian Scarborough, Aasiya Shah, Kevin Garry, and Sam Campbell are also included in the cast.
