Bloodshot in Blu-Ray- details, special features, and much more!

Vin Diesel’s action-packed American Superhero film Bloodshot hit the screens this summer on March 13. Now, an announcement from Sony Pictures about its release on digital platforms- Blu-Ray, 4k Ultra HD, and DVD on May 5, 2020, comes as a happy surprise for Bloodshot fans. Bloodshot is the first installment of the series of films based on Valiant Comics.

What is the storyline?

This 109-minute running picture begins with murdering of a marine Ray Garrison and his wife. But Ray is resurrected by a team of scientists. With the aid of Nanotechnology, he is transformed into a superhuman- a biotech killing machine named ‘Bloodshot’. Initially, he is unable to recollect his memories of the previous life, but later on, he gains his memories and identifies the killer. He escapes the facility to avenge his and his wife’s murder. But things take a different direction as he is exposed to conspiracies.

Cast

While Vin Diesel played the lead, Guy Pearce, Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heugen, and Lamorne Morris also share the screen space. The film is directed by Dave Wilson. Jeff Wadlow created the story. The music for the film is by Steve Jablonsky.

There is a range of additional features added to the film. An initiate sequence which is a featurette of the film’s director Davis Wilson is at the beginning under the title-Directing Bloodshot. You can also find the cast of Bloodshot featurette that includes all actors of the film. It is named ‘Forgotten Soldiers’.

The special features also include deleted and extended scenes, outtakes and blooper reels. It also has an alternative ending to the film. So watching the film for the first time, if you have not watched it yet will definitely provide a great viewing experience.
