Borat or Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan is a comedy movie. Phew, what a title! Simply put, the movie is about a fictitious journalist from Kazakhstan who travels to the United States to learn more about the culture. He makes a documentary featuring real world interactions with Americans that he plans to show around Kazakhstan.

He has almost no knowledge of American culture, which makes it a hilarious and entertaining collection of vignettes. Though the movie has no actual relationship to Kazakhstan, it was banned from almost all Arab countries. Russia and Kazakhstan highly condemned the release of the movie.

Sacha Baron Cohen actually speaks Hebrew during most of the movie instead of Kazakh. He plays the titular character of Borat Sagdiyev and is distinguished by his sexist and anti Semitic remarks. The film also raised a lot of controversy due to the portrayal of the Romani people, which was derogatory. Many of the people filmed as well as the Kazakh Government sued Cohen for his actions in the film.

The plot revolves around Borat now becoming a celebrity and having to hide from everyone.
