Developed by Michael Connelly, Tom Bernardo and Eric Overmyer, Bosch: Legacy is a police procedural television series, made for Amazon Freevee. It is a spin-off of the Amazon Prime Video series Bosch and is based on the novels by Michael Connelly.

The first season of the series premiered on May 6, 2022 and received positive reviews from critics and audiences. It currently holds an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Considering the positive feedback, the makers have already renewed the series for a second season.

Bosch: Legacy Plot and Cast

Since Bosch: Legacy premiered this month on Amazon Freevee, it is hard to predict what might happen in the next season and nothing has been revealed yet by the makers. However, it will definitely continue from where Season 1 ended.

The basic premise follows Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch has retired from the LAPD and works as a private investigator. Defense attorney Honey “Money” Chandler has him work on some cases for her. His daughter Maddie investigates her first days as a patrol officer with the LAPD, working from Hollywood Station, where her father used to be assigned.

Bosch investigates businessman Carl Rogers, who previously hired a hitman to kill Chandler. Billionaire businessman Whitney Vance asks Bosch to discreetly investigate a private matter.

Coming to the cast, the leads of Season 1 are expected to reprise their roles. This includes Titus Welliver, Mimi Rogers, Madison Lintz and Stephen Chang. Since it is a new season, we can expect to see some new faces.

Bosch: Legacy Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Bosch: Legacy premiered in May 2022 and it was renewed for a second season before the premiere of Season 1. The second season is not arriving anytime this year but we can expect it sometime in 2023.

The upcoming season is expected to have ten episodes like the first season, although an official confirmation is awaited. The series is produced by Hieronymus Pictures, Fabrik Entertainment and Amazon Studios.
