Created by Martin Freeman, Chris Addison and Simon Blackwell, Breeders is a parental dark-comedy television series. Freeman, Addison and Blackwell are also the executive producers alongside Richard Allen-Turner, Rob Aslett, David Martin, Jon Thoday, Michael Wiggs and Ben Palmer.

The first season of the series premiered on March 2, 2020 followed by the second season on March 22, 2021. The series received positive reviews from critics and audiences and currently holds an approval rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes. The makers renewed the series for a third season, scheduled to premiere soon.

Breeders Plot and Cast

The third season of Breeders will continue from where Season 2 ended. Blackwell confirmed that the events of the third season would occur within the same timeline, since the conclusion of Season 2 has been resolved.

The second season started years after the events of Season 1, as Paul and Alley continued their parenting journey through more challenging tasks since their children were older. The finale saw tensions increase between Paul and Luke, as the latter struggled with Paul’s anger came to the surface.

Paul learned that Luke tried to buy weed, causing Paul to erupt and the boy to lash out. Luke then retreated to live with his grandmother. The previous season ended with Paul agreeing to move in with his parents while the situation with Luke is cooled off, allowing the boy to return home. Paul is heartbroken by how disjointed his family has become and Season 2 ends on this emotional note.

Coming to the cast for Season 3, we should get to see Martin Freeman, Daisy Haggard, Stella Gonet, Joanna Bacon, Alun Armstrong, Patrick Baladi and Tim Steed in the lead roles. Since it is a new season, we should get to see some new faces.

Breeders Season 3 Release Date

The second season of Breeders premiered back in March 2021. The makers have confirmed that the third season would premiere on May 9, 2022.

The new season has been confirmed to have ten episodes like the first two seasons. Further details about the plot and cast are expected to be announced soon as the release date approaches.
