Ray Holt and his diverse and quirky team of odd detectives have been solving crimes in the fictional 99th precinct of Brooklyn, New York City. The entire squad is on high alert when a massive blackout hits Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Nine Nine Season 7 Finale and the most celebrated couple of the sitcom – Peraltiago (Jake Peralta & Amy Santiago) made an addition to the squad – Mac(named after Jake’s fictional hero, Die Hard’s John McClane). While this happens, Jake’s best friend Boyle can’t keep calm about it what he’s going to be called by. When birth is taking place, Jake and Charles are patroling and foiling up an ongoing bank robbery. In order to make it in time for delivery, Peralta hitched a ride on Boyle’s extraordinary nemesis Lt. Peanut Butter.
Seargent Santiago had to take charge of the precinct with Holt and Jeffords stuck in an elevator(the duo prepare a distraction for Santiago). Santiago with the help of Diaz took a moral heel turn and oversaw an emergency protocol and allowed Hitchcock and Scully to prepare a makeshift delivery platform with the help of their napping material. Even though Rosa is deeply grossed out by the whole situation, she helps deliver the baby.

Series co-creator Dan Goor reveals that this is one of the hardest episodes to pull off. Most of the shooting was done at night. The crew worked from 6 pm to 3 am for 4 straight nights. This was the only season finale to not end on a cliffhanger and was just a feel-good episode full of varied emotions. From dealing with difficulties in conceiving across season 6, here we are with Mac.
Looking forward to further seasons, reports suggest that Brooklyn Nine Nine Season 8 may feature a COVID-19 story. In addition, fans could use some emphasis on Paraltiago’s parenting.
