Call of Duty: Warzone – Updates on new Mode and Map

Call of Duty: Warzone is part of the 2019 series Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, although it doesn’t require buying. On April 10, 2020, Activision revealed that Warzone had reached 50 million installs in the first month.

Call of Duty: Warzone has two main modes: Plunder and Battle Royale. Battle Royale mode is identical to other games in the genre where players compete in a constantly diminishing map to become the last remaining player. In Plunder, mode teams need to hunt for cash stacks spread across the map to collect $1 million. When discovered, the game goes into overtime, multiplying all-cash sums by 1.5. The team who earned the most money before the time runs out is considered the winner. Players are immediately spawned in this game mode.

Infinity Ward recently posted a few blog posts that revealed the forthcoming material that would be added to “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”.

New mode: Deathmatch

More recently, Infinity Ward has announced a new game mode that will be introduced to the title by upgrading the playlist.

The new game mode is a mixture of the two most popular game modes: Deathmatch and Domination. Most “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” members are friendly with these modes and already know what’s coming from them.

Kill counts will matter in this game. But players will still have to concentrate on goals to gain points for their side.

New map?

Seeking from the leaked footage, the place appears to be near Verdansk. As the clip starts with a shot of the city on a map that slowly rolls over to the supposedly new Warzone arena.

It is technically believed that the red dots are supposed to be nukes, meaning that Verdansk would be obliterated and replaced by a new map.

There is no official news on this, but the narrative director of Infinity Ward, Taylor Kurosaki, has confirmed that we should expect any kind of update to Warzone’s map in the immediate future.

For now, it is not clear if players will be able to take advantage of two different maps, improvements to the existing one, or whether the new one will replace Verdansk.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” fans expect Infinity Ward to introduce even more gameplay modes that had never been seen. Experimenting with various modes could make the game more interesting, and cool thing is that there’s a weekly playlist rotation.
