Call Your Mother is an upcoming American television sitcom that is being co-created, co-written, and co-executive produced by Kari Lizer for ABC Signature and Sony Pictures Television. The series is set to premiere on ABC on January 13, 2021. It is made for ABC signature and Sony Pictures Television. 

The plot follows an “empty nest” mother. She moves across countries to be close to her children. The show is an original idea from the creator Kari Lizer who previously created “The New Adventures of Old Christine”. This show went on for five years before shutting down. This made Lizer lash out against CBS and called the cancellation of the show a “sexist” move.

“Call Your Mother” was originally titled “The Village”. Lizer has got a great ensemble with both popular and eminent names to work in the show. The protagonist is played by Kyra Sedgwick who is a former Golden Globe and Emmy Award, winner. She will be playing the lead in the show after her popular and award-winning series “The Closer” concluded. Kyra will be paying the mother who tries to reinsert herself in her children’s lives.
