Canon announces EOS 200D Mark II in India w/ 4K video recording @ 52,995

Continuing with their commitment towards innovation in imaging space, Canon launched the EOS 200D II ahead of the holiday season in India. It is the successor to the iconic EOS 200D and is powered by the Canon’s DIGIC 8 imaging processor along with a multitude of features. With its lightweight and compact body, the EOS 200 Mark II will prove to be the ideal travel company for photography enthusiasts.

The Canon EOS 200D Mark II packs a bunch of features and functionality that is suitable for beginners. It has an ISO range of 100 to 25,600 which can be further expanded up to 51,200. The camera comes with an Auto Lightning Optimiser that makes it easier to capture the color gradations in sunrise and sunsets. It comes with support for 4K recording and Movie Digital IS (Image Stabilisation) that reduces shakiness.

Speaking at the launch of the new Canon EOS 200D Mark II, Mr, Kazutada Kobayashi, President & CEO, Canon India said

This Canon DSLR comes with an APS-C size (equivalent) imaging sensor along with a Vari-angle LCD monitor. It allows you to click photos at difficult angles like selfies. Because of the presence of the Eye Detection AF, portrait shots are an absolute breeze. It is easier to navigate through the menu because of the Creative Assist function.

Talking about the product, Mr. Eddie Udagawa, Vice President, Consumer Imaging and Information Centre, Canon India said

Keeping abreast with their evolving requirements, we are delighted to launch Canon EOS 200D II DSLR, which aims to facilitate a convenient, hassle-free and an enjoyable experience to photography enthusiasts. Powered by 24.1 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and the latest DIGIC 8 image processor, the camera will enable users create vibrant and sharp images with every click. On top of an intuitive interface, EOS 200D II is loaded with features that will enhance portrait shots and seamless connectivity for users to share their snapshots instantly. With the new product, we are positive that photographers at all levels will feel empowered to capture their everyday, fleeting moments that inspire them.

Additional features include a one-touch Wi-Fi button to upload to social media platforms quickly. Many parameters including shutter speed, self-timer, focus selection and more can be adjusted from the Canon Camera Control app. The DLSR comes has built-in Bluetooth Connectivity that allows to stay connected and share with any smart device.

The Canon EOS 200 Mark II comes at a price tag of Rs 52,995 with the EF-S18-55 IS STM Kit and Rs 65,995 for the EF-S18-55 IS STM + EF-S55-250 IS STM double zoom kit. It will be available for purchase from this week onwards.
