Castlevania Season 4

CASTLEVANIA

Based on the Japanese video game series of the same name by Konami, and produced by Frederator Studios, “Castlevania” is an American adult animated streaming television series adapted from the 1989 entry Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, starring Trevor Belmont, Alucard, and Sypha Belnades as they defend the nation of Wallachia from Dracula and his minions that first broadcast on July 7, 2017, on Netflix.

The series was created by author and prolific comic book writer Warren Ellis, who served as writer and executive producer.

SEASON 4 DETAILS:

The latest season premiered on Thursday, May 13, 2021, on Netflix.

Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy that follows Trevor (Richard Armitage), the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, who is trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes (Graham McTavish). But Trevor no longer is alone, and now he and his misfit comrades race to find a way to save humanity from extinction at the hands of the grief-maddened Dracula and his sinister vampire war council.

The voice cast also includes James Callis, Emily Swallow, Matt Frewer, Tony Amendola, and Alejandra Reynoso.

EXTRAS:

In an interview with Collider, Ellis and executive producer Kevin Kolde were asked about the future of the show. “I’m not sure where we can go,” Kolde says. “At the end of Season 3, [the story is] at a very different place than you think it’s going to be. Season 3 sort of starts with new hope, new beginning, and you think everything’s going to be great and happy, and then Warren pulls the rug out from under you, and it goes to shit. So look, there’s definitely unfinished business and unfinished stories that I think we could easily [continue.]”
