Chicago Med is an American medical drama television series. Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead created this series. It is the third installment of Wolf’s Chicago franchise. The series premiered on NBC on 17 November 2015.
Chicago Med follows the emergency department doctors and nurses of the fictional Gaffney Chicago Medical Center.
On 26 February 2019, NBC renewed the series for a fifth season. The fifth season premiered on 25 September 2019. Later on 27 February 2020, NBC renewed the series for a sixth, seventh, and eighth season.
