City on a Hill Season 3: Release Date, Cast and more!
Created by Chuck MacLean, City on a Hill is a crime drama series, made for Showtime. MacLean is also the executive producer alongside Tom Fontana, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jennifer Todd, James Mangold, Barry Levinson and Michael Cuesta.
The first season of the series premiered on June 16, 2019 followed by the second season on March 28, 2021. It received positive reviews from critics and audiences, and currently holds an approval rating of 76% on Rotten Tomatoes. Considering the positive response, the makers have renewed the series for a third season.

City on a Hill Plot and Cast
Although the makers have not revealed much, City on a Hill Season 3 will continue from where Season 2 ended. At the start of the second season, we saw that an assistant U.S. attorney overdoses as well as ends up left for dead outside Saint Eligius Hospital. Decourcy Ward then suspects Jackie Rohr’s involvement.
After that, Decourcy starts increasing pressure on the Justice Department because Jackie looks into his adversary’s past. Siobhan starts focusing on starting a family. Later, Jenny finds that she can not keep ignoring her mother. After that, Cathy Ryan turns to an unlikely income source.
Talking about the cast, we should get to see the leads of the first two seasons including Kevin Bacon, Aldis Hodge, Jonathan Tucker, Mark O’Brien, Lauren E. Banks, Amanda Clayton, Jere Shea, Kevin Chapman and Jill Hennessy.
City on a Hill Season 3 Release Date
The second season of City on a Hill premiered in March 2021 and concluded in May 2021. It was renewed for a third season the following month and Season 3 is now scheduled to premiere on July 10, 2022.
The number of episodes for the new season is not confirmed as it has been different in the first two seasons. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Distribution Group.
