City on Fire: Release Date, Cast, and more!

Created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, City on Fire is an upcoming crime drama television series for Apple TV+. Schwartz and Savage have also served as executive producers of the show along with Lis Rowinski and Jesse Peretz.

On June 30, 2021, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage were set to write and showrun the 8-episode TV series adaptation of Garth Risk Hallberg’s novel City on Fire. Filming for the series began in April 2022 under the working title Brass Tactics. The show is expected to be out in 2023.

Based on what was named one of the best books of 2015 by the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, and Vogue, City on Fire starts with the shooting of Samantha, an NYU student, in Central Park on the Fourth of July, 2003.

As the crime against Samantha is investigated, she is revealed to be the crucial connection between a series of mysterious city-wide fires, the downtown music scene, and a wealthy uptown real estate family fraying under the strain of the many secrets they keep.

Coming the cast, includes Wyatt Oleff as Charlie, Chase Sui Wonders as Samantha Cicciaro, Jemima Kirke as Regan, Nico Tortorella as William, Ashley Zukerman as Keith, Xavier Clyde as Mercer, Max Milner as Nicky Chaos, Alexandra Doke as Sewer Girl, Omid Abtahi as Detective Ali Parsa, Kathleen Munroe as Detective PJ McFadden, John Cameron Mitchell as Armory and Alexander Pineiro as Sol.

City on Fire Release Date

For now, the makers have not revealed anything about the show including the release date. So, we don’t have any specific release date for you. But, as the show is under development, so we can expect it to be out in 2023 or 2024.
