Hello, Readers! The official trailer for Apple’s next original film, CODA 2021, has been released. It was initially screened at the Sundance Film Festival in 2021.
The film was well-received at Sundance, and it won the Grand Jury Prize. Apple paid a record-breaking $25 million for the film. CODA is expected to gain widespread critical acclaim and may perhaps be nominated for an Academy Award later this year, as evidenced by its excellent performance at Sundance.
The film is around Ruby, played by Emilia Jones, who is a child of deaf adults, or CODA. Ruby is the only one in her family who can hear. Every day before school, she works on the family’s fishing boat.
Ruby discovers a gift for singing during the course of the film and wishes to go to a prestigious music school. She has, however, become the family’s de facto interpreter, and she is afraid of what would happen if she left.
