Developed by Morwyn Brebner, Coroner is a Canadian police procedural crime drama television series. It is based on the Jenny Cooper crime novels by M. R. Hall. Brebner is also the executive producer alongside Adrienne Mitchell, Brett Burlock, Peter Emerson and Jonas Prupas.
The first season was premiered on January 7, 2019 followed by the second season on January 6, 2020. The third season was released on February 3, 2021 and the fourth on January 6, 2022. The series is soon coming back with its fifth season.

Coroner Plot and Cast
The makers have not revealed much about the plot of Season 5. However, it is expected to continue from where Season 4 ended. In the recent episodes of the fourth season of the series Coroner, we have seen that Jenny clashes with her replacement coroner because they investigate a fatal car crash.
Later, the death of an elderly Chinese restaurant owner sparks outrage in a rapidly gentrifying Chinatown. On the other side, sparks fly because Jenny gets together with an old flame in the takedown of a large corporation. Donovan unexpectedly faces a blast from his past while attempting to bring justice to a single mother. Let’s see what happens next.
The leads of the first four seasons are expected to come back in the upcoming season. This includes Serinda Swan, Roger Cross, Alli Chung, Andy McQueen, Eric Bruneau, Ehren Kassam, Lovell Adams-Gray, Tamara Podemski, Kiley May, and Olunike Adeliyi. We can also expect the return of Mark Taylor, Uni Park, Jon De Leon, Thom Allison, Saad Siddiqui, Nicola Correia-Damude, Jonathan Tan, Sarah Podemski, Jennifer Dale and Nicholas Campbell.
Coroner Season 5 Release Date
The fourth season of Coroner began on January 6, 2022 and ended on April 7, 2022. Now, the show is coming for a new season, which is going to be premiere on October 2, 2022 The CW.
The number of episodes for the new season is not confirmed yet as it has been different in the first four seasons. The series is distributed by Muse Entertainment.
