Criminal: UK Season 2: Release Date, Plot and Updates!

Created by George Kay and Jim Field Smith, Criminal: the UK is a Police procedural anthology series that first premiered on Netflix in 2019. The show is a part of Netflix’s Criminal, an anthology series. Viewers of crime dramas immediately approved of the show after the debut of season 1 on Netflix. Set in an interrogation room, this show is intense. After the massive success of season 1 of Criminal: UK, Netflix is bringing us the second season in September 2020 and fans are thrilled.

Release Date and Trailer of Criminal: UK season 2:

Season 1 consisted of four episodes with a runtime of 41-46 minutes for each episode. Every episode is named after a suspect. The first season released on 20 September 2019, on Netflix. Season 2 consists of four episodes that will revolve around four new suspects. Netflix is all set to release the show on the 16th of September, 2020.

The Plot of season 2:

The official synopsis on Netflix for season 2 goes like: “Following a hugely successful first series and great critical acclaim, ‘Criminal’ returns to Netflix globally on Weds 16 September with four new cases, four new suspects and one room that changes everything. Prepare for bold stories, some surprises, and a completely innovative take on the police procedural.”

Set inside four walls of an interrogation room, the series is different from the usual police procedural dramas as it involves no action-packed scenes. If you haven’t yet seen season 1 of this amazing series, you are missing out on so much.

The Cast of Criminal: UK Season 2:

The cast members of season 2 are Game of Thrones’star Kit Harington as Alex, Kunal Nayyar from The Big Bang Theory as Sandeep, Catastrophe’s Sharon Horgan as Danielle, and British stage star Sophie Okonedo as Julia.

Other cast members are Katherine Kelly, Lee Ingleby, Rochenda Sandall, Shubham Saraf, Mark Stanley, and Nicholas Pinnock.

In season 1 we have seen David Tennant, Hayley Atwell, and Youssef Kerkour playing the suspects.
