Four African American Vietnam veterans years later return to Vietnam. Their motive is simple: find remains of their death squad leader and find their hidden treasure. It shows how the African American soldiers fighting not just the VietCong but fighting against unfair treatment given to them.
Da 5 Bloods is directed by Oscar-winning director Spike Lee. The film is set in different timelines. The veteran recalls their adventures as young soldiers and is on a quest to find the hidden gold.
The main cast of the film includes Delroy Lindo as Paul, Clarke Peters as Otis, Norm Lewis as Eddie, Isiah Whitlock, Jr. as Melvin. Chadwick Boseman plays the role of their deceased squad leader and Jonathan Majors plays as Paul’s son.
Other members in the cast include Paul Walter Hauser, Jasper Pääkkönen, Johnny Trí Nguyễn, Mélanie Thierry, Van Veronica Ngo, and Jean Reno.

She tries to discourage the African American soldiers from fighting for the nation that barely provides them equal treatment. The trailer hints that the movie will focus on every issue faced by black soldiers not just the war only.
What is the Release Date for the Film?
Chadwick Boseman’s Da 5 Bloods is scheduled to release on 12 June 2020 on Netflix.
Fortunately, the film has not been delayed by COVID-19. Fans will have to wait just a bit longer.
