Daisy Jones & The Six follows “a rock band in the 1970s from their rise in the LA music scene to becoming one of the most legendary bands in the world and explores the reason behind their split at the height of their success.” The upcoming Amazon Video series is based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s book of the same name.

Set between 1970 and 1980, the novel tracks how The Six, a traditional rock band, came to make music magic with Daisy Jones, an ephemeral solo artist. Together, they created a one-of-a-kind album, then abruptly broke up forever. In this oral history—think VH1’s Behind the Music—the band members finally explain what happened. The band’s downfall has everything to do with what makes it so special.

The main cast includes Riley Keough as Daisy Jones, Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne, Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson, Will Harrison as Graham Dunne, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, and Tom Wright as Teddy. We would also get to see Jacqueline Obradors as Lucia and Timothy Olyphant as Rod in recurring roles.

Daisy Jones & The Six Release Date

The filming for the miniseries began in early November. So, we can expect it to release sometime in late 2022 or even in 2023. However, any official announcements have not been made yet.

The series is expected to have twelve or thirteen episodes. It was initially announced to have thirteen episodes, but subsequent announcements stated it will be twelve instead. Niki Caro will direct three of the episodes. The series would be released on Amazon Prime Video. The service is accessible in around 200 countries and those who wish to watch the show can purchase a Prime subscription that starts from Rs. 179 a month to Rs. 1499 a year.
