Dark is a German Science fiction thriller TV series. The first season of ‘Dark’ streamed on 1st December 2017. It received positive reviews from its viewers.

It all starts when the children from the German town of Winden start vanishing bringing to light the broken relationships, double lives, and the dark past of some families and also reveals the mystery that revolved for 4 generations. This mystery-drama series brings to you a series of mysteries with mysterious characters and leaves you in a nail-biting situation wondering which of the characters have a connection to this town’s troubled history.

The 2nd season got things more complicated as the show added two time periods- 1921 and 2053 which bought a new character into the show, a mysterious detective.

Where is Season 3

This German original series is all set to release its 3rd season with a whole new turn of events and filled with more adventurous mysteries and secrets set to be unraveled. Also, this season will be the end of the series so there’s the answer to all the viewers’ unsolved questions.

The show’s creator Baran bo Odar recently posted on his Instagram handle about the 3rd season’s release which will be June 2020.

Although the date of the release hasn’t been released yet many fans claim it to be June 27, 2020. Since it is the day of apocalypse or the beginning of the last cycle. Friese said to Indiewire that season three will include plot points: “The basic idea of season three was something that we already had when we started. There are also a lot of things in season one hinting to season three. Also, we actually thought about putting some of the stuff that’s now in season three into season two, but then decided to move it backward. So basically, now everything that’s left just falls into season three.”

He also revealed a bit more about the characters season three will focus on:

“We’re going to see a bit more about grown Ulrich. Also, the same as we did in season two where we put a little bit focus on different characters like Claudia and Egon, we’re going to do the same in season three and call some people up that had smaller parts. And yes, Martha and Jonas, that’s the big centerpiece of it all.”

The new cast joining the old cast are Barbara Nusse, Hans Diehl, Jakob Diehl, Nina Kronjager, Sammy Scheuritzel and Axel Werner.
